Mallaig High School is a 6-year Secondary School located in the west Highland village of Mallaig. The School opened in 1989 and currently serves the communities of Mallaig, Morar, Arisaig, Lochailort, the Small Isles & Knoydart.

Most pupils are within daily travelling distance of the High School. However, an increasing number of pupils from Eigg, Rum, Canna, Muck and Inverie require to be boarded in lodgings. The recently constructed Hostel should help to resolve the problems of securing lodgings for pupils.

The school is an active supported of Gaelic and Iomairt Ghàidhlig Loch Abair aims to support the school by providing out of school activities through the language.

The West Lochaber environment is truly stunning and a great place to live.
